Mechanical Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team on a full‑time basis at our Cork site. In this role you will drive project development, conduct technical assessments, prepare detailed reports and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

Key responsibilities

• Report progress, risks and issues to the Project Manager.
• Liaise with suppliers and specialist contractors to commission equipment successfully.
• Develop and review mechanical designs alongside the project team.
• Conduct design reviews and validate equipment and systems.
• Prepare technical submittals, maintain equipment registers and trackers.
• Perform on‑site quality walks to verify compliance with project specifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (essential).
• Minimum three years’ experience in building services engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with isometrics and test packs.
• Strong IT proficiency; experience with Revit is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, planning and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a large, multidisciplinary team.
