Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical projects across the Greater Dublin and Midlands region. You will own the full project lifecycle, from concept and design coordination through procurement, installation and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Coordinate design development with internal teams, consultants and clients.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractor services.
• Plan, monitor and control project programmes to meet key milestones.
• Manage on‑site installation activities, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Lead commissioning and hand‑over processes, confirming systems operate as designed.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
• Monitor budgets, track costs and manage financial performance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams for clear communication.
• Prepare and present progress reports covering programme, cost and quality updates.

Required profile

• Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in Mechanical Project Management within construction, building services or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, pipework and plant equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from design through commissioning.
• Excellent planning, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Strong financial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
• Solid understanding of Irish health & safety regulations.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with project management software tools and Microsoft Office.
