MES Engineer – Manufacturing Execution Systems Designer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Systems Engineer with hands‑on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience in the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or Biotech sector. The role will be based in our Cork and Dublin offices, supporting leading organisations on their journey toward manufacturing and factory digitalisation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with technical leads and clients to design, develop, document and implement MES solutions.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, define needs and deliver large‑scale projects.
• Design, author, develop and configure Electronic Batch Records (EBR) and integrate MES with ERP and control equipment.
• Document MES configuration and validate EBRs according to regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on MES experience in a highly automated Life Sciences manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of FDA and GMP guidelines and of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented setting.

Required skills

• Experience with at least one MES platform such as Korber PAS|X, Emerson Syncade, Rockwell PharmaSuite, Siemens XFP, POMS or Camstar.
• Ability to configure and validate Electronic Batch Records (EBR).
• Familiarity with ERP integration and control equipment interfaces.
