Newly Qualified Accountant - Aviation

About the role

Reporting directly to the VP Finance, the newly qualified accountant will support key accounting processes and the commercial and strategic activities of a fast‑growing aviation business. The role involves reviewing client agreements, determining appropriate accounting treatment and ensuring financial accuracy across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full ownership of the trial balance and ensure general ledger integrity.
• Prepare and post accounting journals and transactions within set deadlines.
• Produce management accounts and conduct key financial analysis.
• Lead end‑to‑end preparation of statutory financial statements, coordinating audits and liaising with auditors.
• Commercially review client agreements and assess the correct accounting treatment.

Required profile

• Newly qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA).
• Experience in practice or industry; aviation or aircraft leasing experience is a plus but not essential.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with high attention to detail.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to work collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills.
