Operational Specialist – Technical Operations (Contract)

About the role

The Operational Specialist will act as the vital bridge between Technical Operations and Manufacturing on a sterile production line. Based on the shop floor in Dublin, you will provide real‑time technical support, ensure processes are performed Right First Time, and uphold GMP and batch‑record compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Be present on the shop floor during critical production stages to guide operators and troubleshoot deviations.
• Draft, review, and refine technical protocols and batch records.
• Support internal and external audits, maintaining documentation integrity.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training to operators on essential sterile processes.
• Promote a strong quality culture across production teams.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience as an Operator or Operator Lead in pharmaceutical or sterile manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of aseptic processing, contamination control and sterile environments.
• Familiarity with unit operations such as lyophilisation, filtration, centrifugation and autoclaves.
• Comfortable working on‑site and supporting on‑call activities.
• Excellent communication skills for real‑time operator guidance.
