Operations Manager – Solar PV & Heat Pump

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and scale day‑to‑day activities across their solar PV and heat‑pump divisions. This senior leadership position will own operational processes, build high‑performing teams and free the CEO to focus on strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.
• Manage and develop installation crews, surveyors and support staff across multiple sites.
• Improve scheduling, resource planning and overall operational processes.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Collaborate with sales, design, procurement and administration to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Reduce delays, rework and customer issues through strong operational control.
• Support growth and integration of the heat‑pump division, overseeing supplier coordination, logistics and material availability.
• Drive continuous improvement across all operational activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations management within construction, renewables or a similar industry.
• Strong background in solar PV, heat‑pump or mechanical/electrical installation environments.
• Experience managing field‑based teams and multi‑site operations.
• Highly organised, process‑driven and a practical problem‑solver.
• Ability to build and implement systems from scratch and operate independently.
