Packaging Manager

About the role

PCI is seeking a Packaging Manager to lead its Packaging Department at the Dundalk site. This permanent, night‑shift position (Thursday‑Saturday, 7 pm‑7 am) is part of a fast‑paced, GMP‑regulated CDMO environment, responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily packaging operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Monitor and drive departmental KPIs across output, quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Implement agile and lean production practices to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Provide clear direction and performance expectations across all shifts.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop production team members in partnership with HR.
• Foster an inclusive, high‑performing team culture focused on engagement, quality, and safety.
• Conduct regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Ensure cross‑training, succession planning, and workforce planning aligned with demand.
• Maintain strict compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve deviations, non‑conformances, and customer complaints.
• Support internal and external audits and inspections.
• Participate in tiered communication meetings and cross‑functional forums with Engineering, Warehouse, Planning, and Procurement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑skilled packaging teams in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and quality compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to drive KPI performance and continuous improvement.
• Experience applying lean and agile production methodologies.
• Effective people‑management skills, including recruitment, coaching, and succession planning.
