About the role
PCI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its Dundalk site. The role is a permanent, day‑shift position covering Thursday to Saturday (12‑hour shifts, 7 am‑7 pm). You will be responsible for keeping equipment running safely and efficiently in a GMP‑regulated environment.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure timely machine change‑overs, stoppages and breakdowns to meet production targets.
- Perform planned routine maintenance and maintain schedules, guaranteeing safe, efficient operation in compliance with GMP practices.
- Conduct expert‑level fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Program PLCs and take part in technical projects to improve or create new processes.
- Design, develop and implement mechanical systems and equipment improvements.
- Create and manage Management of Change (MOC) documents through the QMS.
- Carry out Design of Experiments and other fault‑finding techniques to enhance processes.
- Follow safe work practices, report near‑misses and keep maintenance areas clean and secure.
- Adhere to routine maintenance schedules for all equipment and plant.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, liaising with the Engineering Supervisor and Operational Engineering Manager.
- Lead A3 problem‑solving activities and root‑cause analysis for major issues.
- Plan and implement engineering improvement projects, including validation.
- Advise on major repairs or maintenance needs and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
- Strip down, clean, re‑assemble production equipment and perform set‑ups to meet change‑over targets.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
Required profile
- Willingness to work a day shift covering Thursday to Saturday (12‑hour shift, 7 am‑7 pm).
- Experience in a GMP‑regulated environment.
- Strong focus on safety and ability to follow EHS procedures.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns.
- Effective communication and teamwork with production and engineering teams.
