Part‑time Staff Nurse – Residential Care

About the role

Windmill Healthcare is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the care team on a part‑time basis at Abbot Close Care Centre in Askeaton, Co. Limerick. The role focuses on delivering person‑centred, high‑quality nursing care to elderly residents in a residential setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide efficient, effective nursing care on a person‑centred basis.
• Promote a caring environment that meets physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Build supportive relationships with residents, relatives, and visitors.
• Adhere to all Windmill Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Manage drug administration and custody in line with established protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of HIQA standards and support inspection processes.
• Complete accurate admission documentation and coordinate discharge planning with healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing for daily management support.

Required profile

• Registered on the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBI) with an active PIN.
• Clinical experience in gerontological or residential nursing care.
• Familiarity with HIQA standards and the Health Act Regulations 2013.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written) and eligible to work in Ireland.
• Strong communication and listening abilities.
