Physical Security Engineer

About the role

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team is looking for a Physical Security Engineer to design, implement and sustain physical security infrastructure for its global datacenters supporting services such as Azure, Office 365, Bing and Xbox. Key responsibilities

• Implement and program physical access control and video surveillance systems for new datacenter deployments.
• Manage the health of security systems across multiple locations, performing break/fix operations and routine maintenance.
• Participate in an on‑call DRI rotation to provide rapid incident response.
• Ensure all hardware and system configurations meet baseline security standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive program improvements and support capacity expansion.

Required profile

• Experience working with physical security infrastructure in a datacenter or large‑scale environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues under time‑critical conditions.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and work across multiple locations.
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with engineering and operations teams.
