Post Primary Mathematics Teacher (22 hrs/week)

About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified Post Primary Mathematics Teacher to join St. Paul’s Community College for the 2026/27 academic year. This is a pro‑rata, 22‑hour per week position focused on delivering high‑quality mathematics education to post‑primary students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the mathematics curriculum in accordance with the national syllabus.
• Provide learning support and differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Uphold the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct in all classroom activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as required.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification and registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
• Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics at post‑primary level.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to school community.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Irish post‑primary mathematics curriculum.
• Ability to apply the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.
