Post Primary Music Teacher (2026/27 Academic Year)

About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified Post Primary Music Teacher to join St. Paul’s Community College for the 2026/27 academic year. This is a pro‑rata, 22‑hour per week position focused on delivering high‑quality music education to secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess music curriculum in line with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.
• Provide learning support and guidance to students, fostering musical development and appreciation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music across the broader school programme.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school events as required.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with registration on the Teaching Council of Ireland.
• Relevant experience teaching music at post‑primary level.
• Commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunity principles.
• Ability to work within a 22‑hour weekly schedule and adapt to a fixed‑term academic contract.

Required skills
