Process Engineer

About the role

Flex is seeking a Process Engineer to join its manufacturing team in Cork, Ireland. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will help set up new manufacturing processes, support new product introductions, and resolve daily product and process issues.

Key responsibilities

• Understand existing manufacturing processes, technologies, and techniques.
• Define, implement, and evaluate designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of process failures independently or with engineering stakeholders.
• Participate in daily production activities and solve operational problems.
• Create and maintain process documentation, visual aids, and manufacturing procedures.
• Support cycle‑time and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate and select engineered materials.
• Develop manufacturing techniques to improve yields and capabilities.
• Interface with production during new process implementation and product transfer.
• Assist in training production personnel on new technologies.
• Lead cost‑improvement and reduction programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience.
• Highly organized and results‑driven.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Clear thinker with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to work all shift patterns.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland (EU).
