Production Supervisor

About the role

Lir Chocolates is seeking a hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead shift teams in our Navan factory. You will be responsible for meeting daily and weekly production KPIs while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production teams on shift to achieve KPIs and maintain audit‑ready compliance with Quality Assurance, food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
• Drive a right‑first‑time culture by monitoring line performance, conducting daily audits, addressing non‑conformances and implementing corrective actions.
• Plan resources, changeovers and production schedules in collaboration with Planning, Warehouse, Set‑Up and Packing teams.
• Lead, motivate and develop team members through coaching, performance management, job rotation and training.
• Ensure clear communication via shift handovers, daily review meetings and accurate production documentation.
• Identify and deliver continuous‑improvement and lean initiatives to boost efficiency, quality and team behaviours.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and safe working practices as a visible, hands‑on leader on the floor.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production.
• Strong operational knowledge of production processes, KPI delivery, labour planning, changeovers and resource optimisation.
• Experience working within Quality Assurance and food safety systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to record, review and report operational data accurately.
• Flexible and adaptable to support different shifts or factory areas as needed.
