Python Developer – Serverless & AI Focus

About the role

We are seeking a Python Developer to join a fast‑growing Dublin‑based engineering team. The role sits within a newly created AI squad and focuses on building server‑less applications on AWS, leveraging modern cloud‑native practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain reliable, scalable Python services.
• Implement server‑less solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and S3.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and architects to deliver AI‑driven features.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and participate in code reviews and pair programming.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and contribute to continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design and clean‑code principles.
• Interest in AI and willingness to work in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• AWS services – Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker and monitoring/logging tools.
• Optional: JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front‑end frameworks.
