QC Analyst – Pharmaceutical Testing (GMP)

About the role

Join SGS as a QC Analyst and contribute to the safety and quality of pharmaceutical products. You will work in a GMP‑compliant laboratory, performing analytical testing on raw materials and drug substances for a range of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform GC and HPLC analyses, as well as other required techniques, following validated procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, schedule calibrations and ensure audit‑ready status.
• Manage inventory of consumables and reagents needed for testing.
• Enter and review data in the LIMS, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Document results, write SOPs, methods and reports, and close out batch analyses.
• Support investigations, deviations and laboratory audits.
• Train and mentor junior analysts once qualified.

Required profile

• Science degree (Level 7) in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years experience working in a GMP‑regulated laboratory.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain up‑to‑date training records.

Required skills

• Gas Chromatography (GC) analysis.
• High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analysis.
• Use of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge.
• Calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment.
• Analytical method validation and SOP development.
