About the role
We are seeking a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a leading HSE service in Cork, Ireland. The role offers a high‑impact position within the CAMHS network, combining clinical excellence with service leadership and a lifestyle‑focused relocation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary CAMHS teams across the Cork region.
- Provide specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents.
- Support early‑intervention and community mental health initiatives.
- Contribute to clinical leadership, service development and governance.
- Engage in teaching, training and mentorship of junior staff.
Required profile
- Current registration as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Ireland.
- Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
- Proven experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
- Eligibility to work as a Consultant in Ireland.
- Strong multidisciplinary team and leadership experience.
Required skills
What we offer
- Salary on the 2026 HSE Consultant scale: €235,862 – €283,318 per annum.
- On‑call allowance of €11,125+ per year.
- €12,000 annual CME funding.
- €8,000 research and innovation grant.
- 37‑hour working week, 30 days annual leave plus 10 public holidays.
- Defined benefit HSE pension scheme.
