Sales Executive – Building Materials (Galway)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Executive to grow our presence in the building materials and construction sector across a defined territory in Galway. You will work primarily in the field, building strong relationships with builders’ merchants, contractors and trade customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities with builders’ merchants, contractors and trade customers.
• Manage and expand an existing customer base within the assigned territory.
• Conduct regular site, branch and customer visits to promote our product range.
• Identify and convert specification opportunities into sales.
• Generate leads through proactive outreach, cold calling and follow‑ups.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, customer service and marketing.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and product developments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in building materials, construction or B2B field sales.
• Strong understanding of the builders’ merchant and contractor landscape.
• Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and commercially aware.
• Ability to build lasting customer relationships and manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems and digital sales tools.
