Senior Audit Manager – Internal Audit

About the role

Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking an experienced Senior Audit Manager to lead internal audit engagements across the firm. You will partner with middle‑to‑senior management to identify, assess, and resolve risk and control issues while overseeing multiple audit project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and review audit project teams, ensuring high‑quality audit reports.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop audit staff.
• Lead complex audits, providing industry expertise and strategic risk advice.
• Evaluate risks, controls, policies, and procedures; monitor how management mitigates risk.
• Follow up on findings, recommend corrective actions, and track issue resolution.
• Draft comprehensive audit reports with clear issue descriptions, business implications, and recommendations.
• Maintain effective relationships at all management levels and present results to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of audit or audit‑related experience, preferably in financial services.
• Proven project‑management experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to present complex, sensitive issues to senior management.
