About the role

The Maples Group is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join its Dublin team. Reporting to the Regional Head of Business Development, you will act as a trusted advisor for the Ireland practice group, shaping strategy and supporting operational execution to drive growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with practice leaders and the Regional Head of BD to define, implement and measure growth strategies aligned with practice objectives.
  • Develop data‑driven plans, budget proposals and set clear KPIs for assigned practices.
  • Run the annual planning and budgeting cycle, contributing to practice and lawyer activity budgets.
  • Track and report on business development activities, demonstrating ROI where possible.
  • Utilise internal marketing technologies and databases for planning, targeting and measurement.
  • Partner with global and regional Marketing teams to create content for campaigns, collateral and digital tactics.
  • Identify, evaluate and manage strategic sponsorships and speaking opportunities at conferences and seminars.
  • Oversee legal directory submissions and support partners in interview preparation.
  • Coordinate BD trips, ensuring objectives are defined, teams briefed and follow‑up actions captured in the CRM system.
  • Maintain and update the CRM database, including client and target lists.

  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with practice leaders, marketing, and senior management.
  • Excellent analytical mindset for developing data‑led plans and measuring performance.
