Senior Business Development Manager – Freight & Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive high‑value freight and logistics sales across Ireland. You will shape commercial strategy, win multimodal contracts and expand our market presence for a global forwarding leader.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and close high‑value business opportunities in the Irish logistics market.
• Design tailored air, ocean and road freight solutions to address complex supply‑chain challenges.
• Lead strategic bidding processes, preparing proposals and quotations that win against competitors.
• Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and consistently generate revenue growth.
• Build lasting relationships with stakeholders from warehouse managers to C‑suite executives.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.

Required profile

• 2+ years of frontline sales experience within an Irish freight forwarding environment.
• Proven track record of winning new multimodal business.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with a focus on protecting profit margins.
• Self‑motivated, competitive mindset and ability to manage your own pipeline and CRM.
