Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

This is a 12‑month contract position (with the possibility of extension) based in Dublin, working hybrid with one day on‑site per week. You will join a high‑performing security team responsible for protecting multi‑cloud and Kubernetes environments across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) and Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP) tools.
• Build Security‑as‑Code and Policy‑as‑Code using Terraform, Bicep and CloudFormation.
• Define and implement cloud security architectures based on Zero Trust and Least Privilege principles.
• Secure Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, GKE) end‑to‑end, including RBAC, policies and runtime protection.
• Integrate cloud telemetry into SIEM/SOAR solutions.
• Strengthen IAM, network security (WAF, VPC) and encryption controls.
• Support incident response and threat investigations.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (AWS and OCI a plus).
• Proven background in cloud and Kubernetes security.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
• Familiarity with information‑security standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST and CIS Benchmarks.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CKS, Azure or GCP security certifications) are advantageous.
