Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

An established building services consultancy in Dublin is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a contract basis (outside IR35). The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both from the office and remotely while contributing to a diverse portfolio of high‑quality projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver electrical building services designs across a range of projects.
• Produce electrical schematics, layouts and associated technical documentation.
• Support project delivery through multiple RIBA design stages.
• Collaborate with mechanical, structural engineers and architects.
• Assist with BIM coordination and integration of multidisciplinary designs.
• Prepare and review technical drawings and design calculations.
• Ensure project delivery meets quality, programme and technical standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within the building services sector.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services systems.
• Experience producing design calculations and technical drawings.
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Capability to support projects across multiple RIBA stages.
