Senior Human Resources Manager (14‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Our client, a leading public‑sector organisation in Ireland, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager on a 14‑month fixed‑term contract. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, delivering strategic and operational HR solutions that support the organisation’s long‑term objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to design and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
• Provide commercially‑focused guidance, challenge and stakeholder relationship management.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives.
• Manage complex employee‑relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
• Coach managers on best practices, ensuring consistency and legal compliance.
• Develop and update HR policies in line with Irish legislation.
• Support reward, benefits and career framework projects.
• Contribute to engagement, wellbeing and culture programmes.
• Analyse people data and use HR analytics to drive improvement.
• Utilise SAP SuccessFactors for reporting, insights and system optimisation.
• Participate in HR transformation and process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior Generalist.
• CIPD qualification and a relevant third‑level degree.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
• Proven track record handling complex employee‑relations issues.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and supporting change initiatives.
• Excellent communication, influencing and analytical skills.
• High professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
