About the role
EFOR Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead medium and large capital investment projects in the pharmaceutical and life‑sciences sector. The role will oversee the full project lifecycle from business case development through design, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end delivery of capital projects exceeding $25 M, covering concept, design, construction, commissioning and operational handover.
- Lead cross‑functional teams and external EPCM partners, maintaining safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain project execution plans, cost forecasts, schedules and risk‑management strategies.
- Oversee contractor selection, contract administration and change‑control processes with focus on cost, schedule and compliance.
- Provide concise, decision‑focused reporting to senior leadership, highlighting risks and mitigation actions.
- Promote world‑class EHS and lean practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical); Master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in capital projects for pharmaceutical, biotech or regulated life‑sciences environments.
- Proven track record delivering projects > $25 M in both small‑ and large‑molecule API manufacturing.
- Deep knowledge of cGMP, GxP compliance, cleanroom and utilities design, and validation.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex supply‑chain environments.
- Project‑management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) strongly preferred.
