Senior Systems Engineer – Space Sensor Systems

About the role

InnaLabs is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, testing and documentation of gyroscope systems for space programmes. The role requires a self‑motivated engineer who can work across electronics, mechanics and software to deliver high‑performance sensor solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse customer requirements and translate them into system specifications.
• Perform hardware testing at both electronic and system levels.
• Lead system‑level analyses such as reliability, worst‑case, FMECA and parts‑stress studies.
• Conduct environmental testing including mechanical load, thermal and EMC tests.
• Develop design solutions to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA designers and third‑party vendors.
• Produce technical documentation: specifications, compliance matrices, reports and program documentation.
• Participate in subsystem integration and acceptance testing.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations for internal teams and customers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in the space or sensor industry.
• University degree in engineering.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret electronic schematics.
• Knowledge of various sensor types and their electronic interfaces.
• Understanding of analogue and digital electronics is an asset.
