Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

AMCS is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join its International Tax Team. The role will lead the coordination and governance of international tax compliance for the Group’s Irish and overseas entities, combining strong technical tax expertise with a forward‑looking approach to automation and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Review VAT and corporation tax calculations prepared by team members, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with legislation and group policy.
• Provide technical guidance, perform high‑level analytical reviews, and validate documentation before filing.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to finalise and file VAT, GST and corporation tax returns, managing filing timetables and deliverables.
• Support revenue queries and audits, acting as a liaison between internal teams and external advisors.
• Review tax‑related balances, journals, and reconciliations; assist with tax disclosures in statutory financial statements and audit processes.
• Identify and lead automation opportunities for VAT and corporation tax processes, leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• Technically strong tax professional with solid commercial awareness.
• Experience in international tax compliance, VAT and corporation tax.
• Comfortable owning core tax deliverables in a fast‑growing, technology‑led environment.
• Proactive attitude towards process improvement, automation and AI enablement.
