About the role

We are seeking a Senior Windows & Mac IT Support Engineer to join the End User Computing team of a leading Irish client. You will provide advanced technical support across Windows and macOS environments, ensuring a secure and reliable experience for all end users.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced support via phone, email, remote tools and ticketing systems for Windows and Mac devices.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, OS and application issues.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange and related enterprise applications.
  • Manage user provisioning, permissions, group administration and access controls.
  • Deploy, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, mobiles and peripherals throughout their lifecycle.
  • Perform software deployment, patch management and endpoint administration using enterprise tools.
  • Investigate system alerts, identify root causes and escalate when necessary.
  • Assist with LAN/WAN network troubleshooting in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge‑base articles and user training material.
  • Support endpoint security initiatives, vulnerability remediation and patch compliance.
  • Participate in incident response, disaster recovery testing and on‑call rotations.

Required profile

  • 4‑5+ years of experience in Windows IT Support, Service Desk or End‑User Computing.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting both Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Proven background with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD and Exchange.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN).
  • Experience working within structured ITSM frameworks.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
