Site Agent – Urban Civil Engineering

About the role
We are looking for an operationally focused Site Agent to lead multiple site crews on high‑intensity urban civil engineering projects in Dublin. You will be the primary on‑site interface, ensuring works are delivered on schedule, within budget and to the highest health and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor and coordinate site crews, engineers and specialist sub‑contractors on active urban projects.
- Act as the main point of contact for client representatives, utility owners and local authority inspectors.
- Manage public interactions to minimise disruption and ensure strict H&S compliance.
- Oversee urban traffic management layouts, obtain road opening licences (T2/T3/T4) and coordinate footprint surveys before and after installation.
- Maintain accurate site documentation including diaries, progress photos, timesheets and logistics logs.
- Deliver projects such as deep storm/foul water drainage, sewer rehabilitation, city corridor overhauls and civil packages for high‑voltage grid connections.
Required profile
- 3–5+ years’ experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Engineer or Site Agent in civil engineering, urban drainage or utilities (water, gas, electricity, telecoms) in Ireland or the UK.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant technical trade with extensive utilities infrastructure experience.
- Strong commercial awareness of site costs and solid IT literacy.
- Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling and CSCS/Signing, Lighting & Guarding (SLG) or Location of Underground Services (LUS) qualifications are desirable.
- Full clean Irish driving licence is essential.
