Site Manager – Residential Construction (Portlaoise)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a large residential development in Portlaoise. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, to the highest quality standards and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all site activities on a residential construction project
• Ensure work aligns with project timelines and specifications
• Supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site
• Conduct regular site meetings and produce progress reports
• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, design team, and clients
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures
• Oversee materials, deliveries, and site logistics
• Monitor labour levels and productivity on site
• Ensure compliance with current building regulations and company procedures

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor
• Essential residential construction experience
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and deadlines effectively
• Trade background or construction‑related qualification preferred
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications required
