Social Care Trainer

About the role

Orchard Residential Care is seeking a dedicated in‑house Trainer to design and deliver mandatory training for staff working with children and young people across multiple locations in Ireland. You will ensure all training meets regulatory standards and supports the professional development of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver mandatory training programmes, including TCI, Three Pillars, manual handling and first aid.
• Maintain accurate training records and report on compliance with registration standards.
• Align training content with TUSLA regulations and other relevant bodies.
• Advise senior management on legislative changes affecting training.
• Collaborate with departments to identify skill gaps and develop CPD opportunities.
• Source specialised training and support continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Level 7 qualification (or higher) registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU.
• Minimum 3 years full‑time experience in social care with children/young people, including at least 1 year at Team Leader level or above.
• Highly IT literate with excellent communication skills.
• Full Irish driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland without sponsorship.
