Sourcing Specialist

About the role

Production Equipment Europe, a leading industrial distributor in Europe, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join its Galway team. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, cost optimisation and supplier relationship management to support the company’s extensive product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing of products and global procurement.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Identify and capitalise on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs and enhance the product offering.
• Conduct regular market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop business opportunities.
• Manage tender enquiries and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to achieve company goals.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification or industry experience, preferably in supply chain or sourcing.
• Proven track record in supplier evaluation, negotiation and selection.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Capability to understand technical product information.
• Excellent negotiation and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a flexible, proactive attitude.
