Staff Nurse – Residential/Respite Services

About the role

We are seeking experienced and motivated Staff Nurses to join St. Aidan’s Services in our Residential/Respite Services. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to adults with intellectual disabilities, supporting them to live full, meaningful lives within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Residential Manager/Person in Charge with the day‑to‑day operation of the service.
• Provide person‑centred nursing care tailored to individual needs and goals.
• Promote a Human Rights‑Based approach and involve individuals in decision‑making.
• Maintain the health, wellbeing and dignity of all service users.
• Encourage community engagement and support skill‑development.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ireland (RNID, RPN, RGN).
• Post‑qualification experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Availability to work a rotating seven‑day roster, including days, nights and weekends.
• Full driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.

Required skills

• Strong record‑keeping and report‑writing abilities.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
