Systems Administrator

About the role

Our client in Dublin City Centre is seeking a Systems Administrator to join a well‑established IT function supporting a dynamic professional services organisation. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the core infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking and security systems across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments (2019 or later) on‑premise and in the cloud.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Maintain SQL Server platforms and related databases.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, perform upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Work with third‑party providers to ensure system reliability and service availability.
• Deploy and configure endpoints using modern management tools.
• Implement and maintain IT security controls, review alerts and coordinate firewall changes.
• Provide escalation support and contribute to IT improvement projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Windows Server 2019+ in both on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD and related services.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience supporting SQL Server and enterprise networking technologies.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection and patch management.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and manage competing priorities.
