Systems Administrator

About the role

Our client in Dublin City Centre is seeking a Systems Administrator to join a well‑established IT function supporting a dynamic professional services organisation. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing core infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking and security systems across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server environments (2019 or later) on‑premise and in the cloud.
• Manage Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Maintain Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Support SQL Server platforms and related database environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, address issues proactively and ensure service availability.
• Collaborate with third‑party providers and internal teams for system upgrades, deployments, patching and lifecycle management.
• Deploy and configure endpoints using modern management tools.
• Implement and maintain IT security controls, review alerts, and coordinate firewall and other security changes.
• Provide escalation support and contribute to IT improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Windows Server 2019+ in both on‑premise and cloud settings.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Experience supporting SQL Server and enterprise networking.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, patching solutions and firewalls.
• Ability to troubleshoot enterprise switching, routing, wireless and VPN solutions.
• Experience with collaboration and AV/meeting‑room systems is desirable.
