Tax Director

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Director to join a rapidly growing firm that is reshaping the Irish market. The successful candidate will become part of a strong leadership team, working across the firm on a wide range of high‑value tax matters and acting as a trusted business advisor to our diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex tax advisory, planning and compliance projects for high‑value clients.
• Partner with senior leadership to drive strategic growth initiatives for the tax practice.
• Provide expert technical guidance on complex tax issues and develop commercially focused solutions.
• Manage and review major tax planning assignments, including restructurings and succession planning.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering high performance and accountability.
• Represent the firm in interactions with Revenue and regulatory bodies, handling queries and audits.
• Stay ahead of tax legislation and industry developments to support technical and strategic excellence.
• Support business development through opportunity identification and proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax at senior management or director level within a professional practice.
• Broad experience across multiple sectors with the ability to adapt technical expertise to varied business contexts.
• Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of Irish tax legislation and the ability to interpret complex tax rules.
• Demonstrated capability to conduct detailed research into complex tax law and develop practical solutions.
• Experience leading teams, managing multiple engagements and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills, able to explain complex tax concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
