Warehouse Operations Supervisor (PM Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead the PM shift (Monday‑Friday) and ensure smooth day‑to‑day warehouse activities. The role combines a visible floor presence with strong organisational and customer‑focused skills to drive performance, safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage warehouse teams, handling recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance and holiday schedules while managing employee relations, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Plan workforce to meet operational demand and peak periods.
• Deliver and monitor KPIs for productivity, accuracy, quality and service levels; analyse and report performance metrics.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly operational reports and conduct shift briefings covering priorities, safety updates and performance expectations.
• Act as the communication link between warehouse, transport and senior management.
• Conduct regular health, safety and compliance audits; promote a safety‑first culture.
• Oversee goods receiving, put‑away, replenishment, order picking, packing, dispatch and distribution while ensuring inventory accuracy through stock control and cycle counting.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, damages and shortages; ensure accurate shipment documentation.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on operational issues and drive corrective and preventative actions.
• Ensure effective shift handovers and collaborate with transport, planning and operations teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading warehouse or logistics teams on a shift basis.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of health, safety and regulatory standards in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, transport partners and senior management.
