Water Technician

About the role

Mitie Ireland is seeking a Water Technician to join its facilities management team in Munster. You will be responsible for maintaining water systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and delivering high‑quality service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out TMV valve servicing (failsafe and strip‑down) and cleaning of cooling towers and tanks.
• Perform tank inspections, temperature monitoring, and accurate recording of results.
• Sample domestic water systems and submit results to the laboratory.
• Descale and clean showers and shower heads; flush rarely used outlets.
• Maintain health and safety standards, report issues to field managers, and ensure all equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
• Complete all documentation on tablets or electronic systems in real time.
• Potentially conduct BSRIA Chemistry and BSRIA Micro sampling, depending on the client.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of water treatment processes.
• Strong client service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Good literacy, time‑management and administration capabilities.
• Proficiency with IT tools and electronic reporting systems.
