About the role
A public‑sector research organisation in Galway is looking for a Website Content Specialist on a three‑month contract to support a major website redevelopment project. You will review, rewrite and create website content to improve consistency, accessibility and the overall user experience.
Key responsibilities
- Review, edit and create website content.
- Simplify technical and scientific information for public audiences.
- Apply plain English and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Work within WordPress/CMS templates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external digital agencies.
- Ensure content follows web‑writing best practices and maintains a consistent tone.
Required profile
- Experience writing and editing web content.
- Strong communications, content or editorial background.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
- Knowledge of accessibility, plain English and digital content best practice.
- Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and content management systems.

What we offer
- Competitive salary €32,000–€36,000 pro rata.
