Graduate Quantity Surveyor – September 2027 Intake

About the role

Cunningham is launching a graduate Quantity Surveyor programme starting in September 2027. The role is based at the Newry head office with regular site work across Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare, and occasional exposure to international projects. You will gain hands‑on experience in commercial and contractual aspects of construction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, negotiate and analyse costs for tenders and contracts.
• Assist with procurement of subcontractors and assess sub‑contractor payments.
• Evaluate, measure and recover contract variations.
• Produce monthly cost valuation reconciliations.
• Review, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Foster strong client relationships and coordinate between commercial and site teams.
• Support continuous improvement of commercial processes.

Required profile

• Graduated within the last 2 years with a degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
• Commercial or site experience gained through a placement or paid employment.
• Legal right or valid permit to work in the Republic of Ireland or the UK.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle are advantageous.
