Recruiter (12-month Fixed-Term Contract)

About the role

Waystone is seeking a Recruiter on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. Reporting to the Lead Recruiter, you will join the Talent Acquisition team and manage end‑to‑end hiring for Compliance, Risk and related commercial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles, from brief to offer.
• Deliver hiring activity against agreed timelines, headcount plans and service expectations.
• Partner with hiring managers to clarify requirements, manage expectations and progress roles efficiently.
• Proactively source candidates using defined channels and maintain strong pipelines.
• Coordinate interviews, collect structured feedback and drive decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate records in the ATS and ensure data hygiene.
• Provide a positive, professional candidate experience throughout.
• Identify and raise operational improvements in the recruitment process.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an in‑house or agency recruitment role.
• Proven track record of delivering against hiring demands across multiple concurrent roles.
• Strong sourcing capability and understanding of recruitment channels.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and process discipline.
• Comfortable working with hiring managers and juggling competing priorities.
• Ability to manage recruitment workflows independently.
• Experience using recruitment tools, HRIS or tracking systems.
