Senior Dispatch Engineer

About the role

Simberi Gold Company Limited is seeking a Senior Dispatch Engineer to join its mine operations team on Simberi Island, Papua New Guinea. Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, you will ensure the Fleet Management System (FMS) operates efficiently, supports safe production, and drives continuous improvement across the mine.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the FMS to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
• Maintain mine model parameters such as pit graphics, ore blocks, grades, roads, dumps, and maps.
• Develop, implement, and maintain dispatch procedures, operating practices, and reporting systems.
• Validate production data, ensure timely reporting, and support quality‑control processes.
• Coordinate with Mining Operations and Technical Services to optimise equipment utilisation.
• Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using fleet and operational data.
• Train, mentor, and support dispatch personnel in effective FMS use.

Required profile

• Proven experience in dispatch engineering or fleet management within a mining environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to maintain data integrity and produce accurate reports.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with technical and operational teams.
• Ability to work on a 21/14 roster and adapt to remote island conditions.
