Tax Accountant – 4-Day Week in Cavan

About the role

We are partnering with a leading nationwide accountancy practice to hire a Tax Consultant for its Cavan office. This role is ideal for an ambitious accountant with 1‑2 years of practice experience who wants to specialise in tax and build a long‑term career. You will work with a diverse portfolio of Irish and UK clients across multiple sectors in a supportive, progressive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns.
• Support senior team members on tax planning and advisory projects.
• Help clients with tax compliance and Revenue‑related queries.
• Prepare tax computations and related documentation.
• Support VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax filings.
• Liaise with clients and build professional relationships.
• Keep up to date with tax legislation and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with audit and accounting teams across the practice.

Required profile

• 1–2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Exposure to tax work or a strong interest in tax specialization.
• Part‑qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA / ATI or currently studying.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
