Accountant – Hybrid, Letterkenny

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Accountant to join our Letterkenny office on a hybrid basis. You will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering day‑to‑day bookkeeping, management accounts and year‑end financial statements while leveraging modern cloud accounting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily bookkeeping and reconcile client accounts.
• Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax, VAT and payroll returns.
• Monitor cash flow and support clients with budgeting and forecasting.
• Implement, optimise and train clients on cloud accounting platforms.
• Provide financial insights to help clients make informed business decisions.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification or progression towards one (e.g., Chartered Accountant).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including management accounts and reconciliations.
• Experience with tax compliance, corporate tax, VAT and payroll.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a hybrid setting.
• Previous experience in an accounting practice or serving multiple clients is a plus.
