Accounts Payable Team Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Manager to lead a dynamic AP team within a fast‑paced finance environment. You will drive operational excellence, support process improvement initiatives and contribute to the continued development of our finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a high‑performing Accounts Payable team.
• Coach, mentor and conduct regular 1‑to‑1 meetings to support employee development.
• Allocate workload, monitor service levels and ensure timely payment processing.
• Handle supplier queries and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Support month‑end activities, operational reporting and finance stakeholder collaboration.
• Contribute to process improvement, change initiatives and system optimisation projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 4–5 years of people‑management experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, Procurement or Shared Services.
• Proven track record of managing and developing teams, conducting performance reviews and coaching staff.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Experience working in fast‑paced operational environments and exposure to process improvement.
• Understanding of supplier management, payment processes and financial controls.

Required skills

• ERP or finance systems experience.
