Agency Staff Nurse – Flexible Shifts in Cork

About the role

Emerald Nursing is seeking experienced Registered General Nurses to work on an agency basis across Cork’s leading private hospitals, HSE teaching hospitals, national specialist centres and care groups. You will enjoy a flexible diary that can be tailored to your personal schedule while delivering high‑quality patient care in a variety of acute and specialist settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients in acute hospital, community or specialist environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans and monitor patient progress.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
• Minimum six months of recent clinical experience within the Irish healthcare system.
• Strong clinical references and eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Current mandatory training and willingness to undergo Garda vetting and occupational health clearance (arranged by Emerald Nursing).

Required skills

• Valid NMBI RGN registration.
• Clinical experience in Irish acute, community or specialist settings.
• Compliance with up‑to‑date mandatory training requirements.
