A&H Travel Complex Adjuster

About the role

The A&H Travel Complex Adjuster handles and investigates complex travel, personal accident, cancer and income protection claims for AIG. The role requires accurate assessment, reserving and compliance with best‑practice guidelines while supporting the claims team.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and manage complex travel, temporary total disablement, permanent disablement and fatal accident claims.
• Ensure claims are assessed according to policy conditions, internal service levels and best‑practice guidelines.
• Promote compliance across the A&H book of business, distinguishing between Leisure, Voluntary Employees Benefits and Corporate policies.
• Act as a referral point for colleagues, providing learning and procedural guidance.
• Monitor market and industry practices, updating the team on relevant changes.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers, serving as a point of referral.
• Champion complaints handling and proactively identify suspect or fraudulent claims.
• Assist in maintaining procedural guides and training less‑experienced staff.
