AI Engineer

About the role

IBM Infrastructure & Technology is seeking an AI Engineer to join its Software Development Generalist team. In this role you will design, develop, test and deliver software components that power high‑resiliency mainframes, hybrid cloud platforms and automation solutions. You will work in an Agile, collaborative environment alongside global colleagues to solve complex infrastructure challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code and unit‑test component‑level software solutions for back‑end and front‑end applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile setting to gather requirements and deliver functional offerings.
• Investigate and resolve customer‑reported issues by developing and testing code fixes.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automated CI/CD pipelines that enforce quality gates.
• Test and release software offerings using proven and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or exposure to back‑end and front‑end development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative team environments.
• Understanding of component‑level design, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps practices.
