Air & Sea Freight Executive – Logistics Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Air & Sea Freight Executive to join our growing logistics team in Carrigtwohill, Cork. You will coordinate both import and export shipments, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and full customs compliance in a fast‑paced international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer bookings and arrange air and sea freight exports to global destinations.
• Check freight rates, confirm bookings with shipping partners, and create quotations.
• Prepare export customs documentation, including SAD declarations, and issue shipping documents such as MBL/HBL and AWB/HAWB.
• Track shipments, send pre‑alerts to destination agents, and maintain communication with customers throughout the process.
• Coordinate invoicing, resolve account queries, and support billing processes.
• Handle FCL, LCL and air freight imports, manage customs clearance, and calculate duties and VAT.
• Organise haulage, final delivery, and monitor carrier free‑time periods to avoid extra charges.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in air or sea freight operations.
• Strong knowledge of import/export processes and freight documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
