Area Manager – Retail

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Area Manager to lead a district of retail stores in Dublin. You will be responsible for translating company strategy into actionable plans on the shop floor, driving performance and delivering an exceptional customer experience across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a district, holding direct line responsibility for all Store Managers.
• Foster a positive, motivated work environment and ensure effective team collaboration.
• Develop, coach, and support Store Managers to improve performance.
• Analyse and optimise stock flow and conduct regular cash management checks.
• Conduct district tours alongside the Sales Executive and provide actionable feedback.
• Oversee store refurbishments, openings, and re‑openings.
• Create and execute annual business plans and staffing strategies.
• Set and track KPIs aligned with company goals and ensure strategy implementation.
• Prepare for and contribute to Area Manager meetings.

Required profile

• A minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline or at least three years of management experience.
• Strong communication, planning, organisational and analytical abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Motivated, flexible and hard‑working leadership style.
• Experience in a fast‑paced environment and proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
• Genuine interest in building a long‑term retail career; multi‑site or Area Manager experience is a plus.

• Starting salary of €74,000, rising to €84,500–€114,000 within three years.
